In case you missed me...

Well hello there, sunny people! Long time no blogging. But as my new life motto says: "it is what it is", meaning life happens and sometimes you just have to roll with it (or at least that's how my tiny brain sees things these days :D) case someone out there missed me, here are some pictures that I took between Christmas and New Year.
And as a New Year's resolution I plan on not ignoring photography as much as I did lately.
Hope everyone had an amazing Holiday season, that all of you are happy and well, and may 2016 be the best year yet!

Insta summer 2015

Bye bye Summer! I will surely miss your pretty flowers & delicious fruits. I've even started to like the heat. But autumn is comming and nothing compares to autumn in my book. Plus I'm cheating for a little bit and flying off to the land of always summer. I probably should be more excited but life lately sort of killed my enthusiasm. Hopefully I'll be back (safetly) with lots of pretty pictures. ^_^
 Till then... lots of

Hippie mood

Do you ever get that feeling when you are so bored that you would do anything but way to lazy to actually do anything? That is me today. So I figured that staying in bed and posting two random photos seems good enough. I shall call this day a success :D
I stole these records some time ago from my mom because I used to love them when I was little (like 4 years old or something). I didn't listen to them back then but I remember being absolutely in love with the way they look. I guess I always had a thing for prints and colors. ^_^
Hope your weekend was more exciting than mine, but if you too are in "veggie mode" ... it's all good! :p

Insta spring 2015

My insta spring collage is ready! Wiiii! A few days late, but it is what it is. It only took 10 minutes to make but I've been "emotionally challenged" lately. Check out my Instagram feed for more pretty pictures (if I do say so myself :D )

Santorini reloaded! - part III

It took me a while but the final part of my Santorini trilogy is here: "The Beach".
What I didn't know before researching accommodations for our vacation is that you can't stay at the pretty white houses that you see when you google Santorini and also have a beach nearby. We stayed at a hotel in Kamari which is located on the other side of the island and unfortunately there are no white houses on hills there. But that doesn't mean it's not a great place to be.

Some things I think might be helpful:
  • If money is no object stay at a hotel/villa overlooking the Caldera. You won't be close to the beach but you will probably have your private swimming pool (also if you are interested in adopting/ marring me, send me an email :D )
  • If however spending thousands of euros on a hotel room isn't your thing, try Kamari/ Perissa (here is a list of Santorini beaches). We stayed at Arion Bay Hotel in Kamari and it was AMAZING! The staff is super friendly, breakfast was great and the guy at the bar was soooo hot!
  • Beaches in Santorini are not like normal beaches (as in sandy and pretty). Kamari Beach is covered with black rocks and sand, the waves are usually pretty big and the shores are really steep (I can't swim so I couldn't go more than a meter or two in the sea). Buying water shoes is a good idea.
  • The food in every restaurant we tried in Kamari was awesome! I love seafood so lunches and dinners were Heaven time. But my favorite restaurant there was Al Fresco, which, you guessed it, is Italian. You must, I repeat, you must go there.
And that, sunny people, is all I can think to say about my week in Santorini. If you haven't been there yet you should definitely put it on your list because it is an amazing place and you don't (necessarily) have to sell your soul to have a great time ;)
